Fried Salmon Skin With Curry Sauce

The skin can be a delicious dish too!

Salmon is famous because its meat is rich in protein. Not just protein, salmon also contains vitamin D, vitamin B12, and zinc that is good for your body. Delicious and nutritious, that’s why many people love this fish. People often eat salmon as steak, or as sushi and sashimi along with tuna.

But Currymates, did you know that salmon meat is not the only delicious part from this fish?

Salmon’s skin actually can be cooked and turned into a delicious snack! One of the foods that is made from salmon skin you should try is crispy fried salmon skin. You can dip this snack into Japanese curry sauce to level up the taste!

Read the ingredients and how to cook it below!

Ingredients:

  • 250g salmon skin
  • 1 lime
  • 300ml oil for frying

Batter ingredients

  • 16 tablespoon of flour
  • 4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 teaspoon garlic powder

Dipping sauce:

  • ½ block of House Kari ala Jepang curry roux
  • 150ml of water
  • 3 big red chillies, slice

Cooking steps:

  • Wash the salmon skin thoroughly and squeeze out the lime juice into it, leave it for 10-15 minute and rinse it with cold water
  • Mix all the flour ingredients together. Put the salmon skin slices one by one into the flour and fully coat the skin slices with flour
  • Heat up the oil in the pan, when it’s hot enough put the salmon skin into the oil. All of the skin must be submerged in the oil, take it when it’s already golden brown and let it rest
  • In the separate pan, put the water and bring it to the boil
  • Turn off the heat, add ½ block of House Kari ala Jepang. Let it melts and mix it well
  • Fried salmon skin with curry sauce dip is ready to be served!
